Youngjin Yoo: Cambrian Explosion

The artist has created an illustrated book about the objects around multi-family residential areas, which are deemed outdated within the ecosystem of Seoul. For the book, the artist asked the actual residents of these areas to take a look at unusual forms such as the polyurethane foam, steel and concrete and draw them as if for an illustrated encyclopedia of plants. This exhibition showcases an expanded artistic horizon of the artist who has been mainly taking pictures of the everyday scenes in the past. Yoo, who has been mainly photographing the everyday scenes, showcases his new artistic horizon in this exhibition.
