Minjung Kim

Korean artist Minjung Kim presents at Galería Cayón five works in conjunction with the Stanley Whitney/Yves Klein exhibit. The pieces selected for this exhibit are taken from the emblematic series: The Street, Order and Impulse, and Story (in its monochromatic and polychrome versions), as well as an interpretation of the euphoria of color from the series “Pieno di vuoto.”

Kim combines her Eastern roots with Western methods and her practice frequently involves watercolors and layered paper, primarily Hanji paper. The latter is considered to be the emblematic paper of Korea, used historically in coverings for walls and doors.
