Danh Vo, Park Seo-Bo, Isamu Noguchi
Danh Vo curates a project with Chiara Bertola at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, to set a dialogue among the Fondazione's labyrinthic architecture and the two artists Park Seo-Bo and Isamu Noguchi.
On the occasion of the 59th Venice Art Biennale, the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, together with London’s White Cube, has invited Danh Vo to curate a project with Chiara Bertola. The exhibition takes up all the spaces of the Fondazione to set a dialogue among Danh Vo and the two artists Park Seo-Bo and Isamu Noguchi.
The exhibition is part of the multi-year programme “Conserving the future” conceived and curated by Chiara Bertola for the Querini Stampalia Foundation, in which contemporary artists are called to confront and dialogue with the spaces of the Foundation, drawing inspiration for new expressions, in the sign of vital experimentation.
Danh Vo is invited by the Fondazione to customize with his almost scenographic sculpture the labyrinthic architecture of the building. The artists arrange a series of light interventions on the set-up of the building, such as the Akari lamp, signed by Noguchi, together with a body of his works. Indeed, Park Seo-Bo has a dedicated room with a series of paintings based on the notions of time, space, and matter, entitled “Écriture“.
