Flavio Favelli: Il bello inverso

As part of MUVE Contemporaneo project, the exhibition by Flavio Favelli consists of a site-specific exhibition that traverses the museum’s monumental rooms. Fifteen works by the artist compose the path of  “Il bello inverso” (Inverse Beauty), exploring a reversed and opposite concept of beauty, “a beauty imagined that is my imagination, something that is not easy to display in a place
and in a city that is the Art par excellence” – explains Favelli. All the pieces are joint by the combination of forms, materials and meanings. Favelli puts at centre of his investigation the alteration of signs and logos as they shift from their original meaning to a new formal and conceptual complexity.
