Lorenzo Passi: Forgiato nel ferro, soffiato nel vetro
The first exhibition of the artist with the Venetian gallery
The art gallery Marignana Arte hosts “Forgiato nel ferro, soffiato nel vetro” (Forged in Iron, Blown in Glass), the solo exhibition by the artist of glass Lorenzo Passi.
After school, Passi moved to the island of Murano, in the Venetian lagoon, where he served as an apprentice in famous glassworks such as Archimede Seguso’s and Zanetti’s. His training continued in Finland, at the Nuutajärven Lasikoulu (Nuutayärvi Glass School), where he began to produce his sculptural pieces, combining glass and iron. Back to Murano, Passi returned to collaborate with glass’ masters such as Oscar and Andrea Zanetti, Giovanni Nicola, and Roberto Beltrami. Over the. years, he has crafted a signature “Passi’s style”, combining his artistic sense with excellent craft skills.
The exhibition opens on the occasion of The Venice Glass Week 2020.
