Francesco Vezzoli: Museums of Tears

Over the last decade, Francesco Vezzoli has created a bridge between the present era and art history, focusing on antiquity, and its most solemn and sacral expressions. His new project in Venice developed as a natural continuation and completion of this long discourse blending archaeology, memory, and contemporary invention. The artist, together with the curator Donatien Grau, juxtaposes his works with masterpieces from Museo Correr to create a dynamic dialogue and a new narrative challenging the immutability of art history.
