Venetian Love
Works by three artists celebrate Venice's beauty and present different aesthetic interpretations at Palazzo Bonvicini
The group exhibition “Venetian Love” presents distinct aesthetic points of view by three artists working across different media. Conceived by Fondation Valmont as on homage to the 17th Architecture Venice Biennale, the exhibition features works by Didier Guillon, Aristide Najean, Silvano Rubino.
Guillon presents “Giano”, an installation made of bifrontal masks in honour to the Roman god. His choreography of white-and-gold masks investigates the constant renovation of the ends and the beginnings. Besides them, Guillon also created a new work to celebrate Venice’s beauty named “La Morte a Venezia”.
Aristide Najean’s Murano-glass chandeliers inspire a journey in time from a poetic and aesthetic point of view.
“Parallel Travels” is the series presented by Silvano Rubino, made of digital, large-scale and 3D-modelled images, which animate the exhibition spaces.
The exhibition is part of the programme of The Venice Glass Weekend 2020.
