Kirill Savchenkov and Alexandra Sukhareva were set to represent Russia at the 59th Venice Biennale. In February 2022 the curators and the artists of the Pavilion of the Russian Federation resigned from their positions, thereby cancelling the participation in the 59th International Art Exhibition.
