Luca Massimo Barbero to curate a major show by Lucio Fontana and Antony Gormley during the Venice Biennale 2022

April 27, 2021

In concomitance with the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, taking place from 23 April to 27 November 2022, Negozio Olivetti will host an exhibition by two great Masters of sculpture, Lucio Fontana and Antony Gormley, featuring presentation of works on paper and sculpture.

The exhibition – conceived and curated by art historian Luca Massimo Barbero, take shape inside an extraordinary space: the Olivetti store, an architectural jewel nestled into the porticoes of Piazza San Marco, designed by Carlo Scarpa and entrusted in concession to FAI by Assicurazioni Generali with the aim of safeguarding and managing it for the public.

The curator proposes a comparison between the work of Lucio Fontana and the work of a contemporary artist, built around a concise and essential association of space and light to be found in the work of both sculptors.

The exhibition is promoted and realised by ASSOCIAZIONE ARTE CONTINUA APS, B17, GALLERIA CONTINUA San Gimignano Beijing Les Moulins Habana Roma São Paulo Paris, in collaboration with Fondazione Lucio Fontana and FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano
