Trayectos 2025

Proyectos Públicos presents Trayectos, an initiative that transforms the experience of Art Week in Mexico City. This project offers a cultural tour through five notable venues in the Juárez, Tabacalera, Roma, and San Miguel Chapultepec neighbourhoods, featuring a programme that integrates art, architecture, literature, sound, performance, and design.

Taking place from 4 to 9 February 2025, Trayectos invites participants to explore a new dimension of the city through unique experiences and unexpected stops.

In this context the Cuauhtémoc District reaffirms its commitment to culture and access to art by joining the first public space art fair. From the 6 to 9 of February, Monumento a la Madre “Feral” celebrates the result of collaboration with various cultural institutions in the area. To ensure accessibility during Art Week, free transportation operates within the district, extending culture to all corners of the community.

Eight spaces in Mexico City, as well as a ranch in Veracruz and a country house in Wyoming, serve as venues for this complex ecosystem. The rich past of these properties intertwines with their current use in various ways, creating new narratives that build a culturally vibrant future.

Trayectos not only connects the five activated spaces but also maps out an alternative route that includes recommendations from over 20 artists and creatives from the Proyectos Públicos community. This route guides visitors through paths that reveal little-known restaurants, architecturally significant buildings, and urban details that often go unnoticed. Each path is an invitation to rediscover the city through a different lens, where the unexpected takes centre stage.
