trust & confusion, on the 3/F Tai Kwun Contemporary gallery, continues with two performance “These Associations” and “This Variation” by renowned artist Tino Sehgal.

These Associations” involves participants of various ages and backgrounds, from all walks of life. Here, adapted to the Hong Kong context, 30 performers at any given time transform Tai Kwun’s historic Prison Yard into a shifting, floating live environment. Instead, in the 3/F Tai Kwun Contemporary gallery space is “This Variation” – premiered at d(DOCUMENTA) 13 – where Sehgal’s most exuberant and musical work opens up dance to be experienced through listening and perception.

Tino Sehgal‘s work develops through ephemeral situations, redefining the museum as a place of social relations, radically eliminating the conventional art object, shifting the focus to live interconnections. His works are compositions of voices, choreography, and people and generate no physical material. Her research raises pertinent questions about the mass production and consumption of materials that have taken hold in our contemporary lives.

A cast of over 170 people was chosen for the Hong Kong performance through a long interaction, training and collaboration, training, and collaboration, offering an immeasurable impact on the community.
