We are all emotional

The performance art festival We Are All Emotional will take place in Prague, 3 – 4 December 2021. The event is organised by tranzit.cz / Matter of Art in collaboration with Divadlo X10 and co-curated by members of the tranzit.org network. The programme includes new works by Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, Larisa David, Helena Eribenne, Anetta Mona Chișa & Lucia Tkáčová, Kolektiv Prádelna/Laundry Collective, Hajnal Németh, Ovid Pop, Maja Štefančíková, Doris Uhlich and Zorka Wollny. The ten new performance pieces will be performed by members of the Divadlo X10 ensemble, one of Prague’s most prolific theatre spaces for contemporary drama.

The performers question the emotions created between people, concepts, and objects and that in this era are accentuated and often labeled as toxic and unconstructive.
#MeToo, climate change, fascism, anti-fascism, racism, refugees/migrants, cancel culture: today’s political culture often seems to be driven by irrational and fictional fears and anxieties. We feel empty, anxious, angry, tired, damaged, violated. Often it is our suffering and trauma that speaks. But is this a good compass?
