Chiara Crespi
Chiara Crespi is the founder and creative director of AAATHENS, a platform dedicated to contemporary art and the Greek cultural scene.
A writer by training and practice, she lived in Paris for nineteen years, where she worked as a journalist, filmmaker and curator. For a decade, she collaborated with Art for Breakfast, an independent platform dedicated to contemporary art through editorial research and digital storytelling.
Her practice combines writing, image-making and cultural research. In cinema, she wrote and directed Mollino (2022), produced by Basement HQ, a documentary dedicated to Turin architect and designer Carlo Mollino, as well as the short film BB, selected for seven festivals including Diametrale and Cefalù. During her years in Paris, she also worked as a video maker for Art Paris Art Fair and collaborated on the curatorial development of several exhibition projects and art auctions.
Since 2021, she has been based in Athens, where on 1 April 2025 she founded AAATHENS, an independent editorial platform documenting the contemporary Greek art scene and which, in a short time, has created a growing international community of enthusiasts, professionals and observers of contemporary culture.
