Sara Ramo

Sara Ramo (1975, Madrid, Spain) lives and works between Madrid and São Paulo. Her multidisciplinary practice—spanning installation, sculpture, video, and collage—explores the tensions between order and chaos, the domestic and the institutional, and the visible and invisible structures that shape daily life. Drawing from surrealism, craft traditions, and ritual, Ramo transforms ordinary materials into poetic, ambiguous environments that question systems of value, language, and perception.

She represented Spain at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019) and has exhibited widely at institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), MASP (São Paulo), MALBA (Buenos Aires), Centre Pompidou (Paris), and Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland. Her work is held in major collections including the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, Fundação Serralves, and the Museo Reina Sofía.
