Gallerist

Robbie Fitzpatrick

Robbie Fitzpatrick is an American gallerist based in Paris and co-founder of the Basel Social Club. His career as a gallerist began in Los Angeles with Freedman Fitzpatrick, the gallery he co-founded with Alex Freedman, later continuing as Fitzpatrick Gallery in the Marais, Paris.

In 2022, he co-founded the Basel Social Club alongside Jean-Claude Freymond-Guth, Dominik Müller, Yael Salomonowitz, and Hannah Weinberger – a non-profit association committed to creating spaces for art that are open and free to all. The project resists the art fair model, placing its emphasis firmly on artists and the broader artistic community. Fitzpatrick now operates his gallery as a nomadic programme of site-specific exhibitions, while continuing his work with the Basel Social Club.
