Fondation Beyeler
Designed by Renzo Piano, Fondation Beyeler is one of the most beautiful and popular museums in Switzerland.
Baselstrasse 101, Riehen / Basel
Opened in 1997, Fondation Beyeler is a museum of modern and contemporary art open all year round. Its exhibition of renowned artists of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries have brought the museum international recognition and established it as one of the most beloved art museums in Switzerland.
The building, designed by Renzo Piano and surrounded by a wonderful park, houses one of the world’s finest collections of modern art. The Italian architect projected the building in order to radiate simplicity while maintaining harmony with its setting. The Fondation Beyeler organises high-quality and much admired exhibitions of Modern and Contemporary art, as well as projects in the public space.
