Maison Européenne de la Photographie – MEP

Since its opening in 1996, the MEP remains one of the main French institution dedicated to photography in all its forms.

The MEP is an exhibition space dedicated to photography. Its programme brings together internationally acclaimed and emerging photographers and filmmakers, reflecting the diversity of contemporary lens-based practices. Alongside exhibitions, the MEP houses an exceptional collection of photographic prints and artists’ films, as well as one of Europe’s largest specialist research libraries. Conceived as a welcoming home for photography, it explores the medium in dialogue with cinema, fashion, music, literature and performance, whilst celebrating diverse voices and perspectives. Rooted in history but focused on the future, the MEP continues to champion innovative contemporary practice.
