The gallery was founded in Bergamo in 1971. Since 1990, the gallery was directed by Stefano Fumagalli and Annamaria Maggi, who have chosen to follow a programme focused on informal art, arte povera, abstract art, and lately as well modern and contemporary art, representing young artists of the 20th century. From 2007 onwards the direction is entrusted to Annamaria Maggi, and the gallery decided to open a new space in Milan in 2016, thereby strengthening its bond with the represented artists, but as well continuing the investigation of other cultural contexts, with particular attention to the abstract art, Body Art, minimalism and conceptual art, and supporting young talents.
