Via Giovanni Ventura 6
Prometeo Gallery, founded by Ida Pisani, evolved from a cultural association into a gallery in 2005, with locations in Milan and Lucca. It has been a platform for artists addressing social and political issues through multimedia.
The gallery opened its programme with Regina José Galindo’s “Perra”, a work that later won the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale. Galindo’s work “Tierra” entered MoMA’s permanent collection in 2021. The gallery has showcased major artists, including Santiago Sierra, and supported artists featured in prominent events such as Documenta and the Venice Biennale. Recent additions include Zehra Doğan and Binta Diaw.
