Since it was established in 1980, Chantal Crousel gallery has been revealing and accompanying the work of artists of highly diverse origin to the French and international art world of collectors and institutions.
In 1980, Chantal Crousel establishes the eponymous gallery in Paris —directed today by her son Niklas Svennung — with the aim of showing the transformations of contemporary artistic production in France and abroad. Chantal Crousel, of Belgian origins herself, makes the choice of representing artists from different nationalities who contribute to elaborating a universal language through different mediums.
The Chantal Crousel Gallery represents its artists at major art fairs, including Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Basel Hong Kong, FIAC, Art Dubai and Frieze. These artists share a commitment to exploring and translating essential values of contemporary society into original forms of expression. Each draws on a particular cultural heritage to develop a direction and a visual language that is both powerful and universal. Many of them are now represented in leading international collections.
