Abenteuer Freundschaft

The group show Abenteuer Freundschaft explores the topic of friendship, regarding it as a daring, sometimes ethical and aesthetic experience, but never directly mentioned in the works shown.

The exhibition brings together twenty works from the collections of the Sammlung Bergmeier in combination with borrowed ones or pieces created explicitly for the occasion, covering a period from the 1960s on. Between the selected artists there are Art & Language, Luis Camnitzer, Jochen Dehn, Paula Doepfner, Friederike Feldmann, Ian Kiaer, Michael Mueller, Olaf Nicolai, C.O. Paeffgen, Karin Sander, Michael E. Smith, Günther Uecker and Haegue Yang. As part of the Berlin Art Week 2018, Jochen Dehn’s performance “Teapot Problems 3 and 4” is programmed.
