AGAINandAGAINandAGAINand

The collective exhibition AGAINandAGAINandAGAINand transfigures the spaces of the MAMbo – Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna, through the artworks of some of the most representative artists of the current art scene: Ed Atkins, Luca Francesconi, Apostolos Georgiou, Ragnar Kjartansson, Susan Philipsz, Cally Spooner, Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

Coming from different areas of the world, the seven reflect with diverse approaches upon repetition and cyclicity, throughout a wide range of media – performance, video, sculpture, painting, photography and installation. Under the curatorship of Lorenzo Balbi, with the assistance of Sabrina Samorì, the exhibition challenges sociologic, philosophical, religious and ecological issues related to the circular conception of time.

AGAINandAGAINandAGAINand is one of the main projects of ART CITY Bologna 2020, the institutional programme of exhibitions, events and special initiatives promoted by the Bologna City Council in collaboration with bolognaFiere, during Arte Fiera 2020.
