This is the first museum exhibition dedicated to the film works of Cuban-American artist Ana Mendieta (Havana, 1948 – New York, 1985). The show brigs together 20 moving image works and 27 related photographs and it is the largest gathering of the artist’s filmic work ever presented as a full-scale exhibition in France. Ana’s 104 filmworks produced between 1971 and 1981 make her one of the leading figures in the practice of multidisciplinary visual art that emerged in the 1970s and 1980s.
