Protext!

The exhibition “PROTEXT! When fabric become manifesto” investigates the role of fabric in critical debates around identity, environmental change, authorship and labour and as a transgressive artistic medium to express protest and dissent. A wide range of works including installations, sculptures, tapestries, embroideries, and drawings investigates different declinations of this mean of expression in the practice of a group of young artists: Pia Camil, Otobong Nkanga, Tschabalala Self, Marinella Senatore, Serapis Maritime Corporation, Vladislav Shapovalov, and Güneş Terkol.
