Michelangelo Pistoletto: Comunicazione. Le porte di Cittadellarte

After fifty years of collaboration, the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto fills the spaces of Giorgio Persano with his works, the exhibition unfolds in two locations: the gallery in via Principessa Clotilde 45 and the adjacent former Opificio Pastiglie Leone.

While in the latter several mirror paintings are exhibited, at Giorgio Persano Pistoletto sets up a conceptual installation based on the theme of communication: the doors of Cittadellarte, installed throughout the gallery, connect seventeen rooms representing different sectors of social structure. Rough wooden structures form the separate rooms, named after the different fields of social structure. The single unities are interlinked to form a unique organism, as a metaphor of the existing connections between art and society.
