Montrasio Arte

Montrasio Arte was founded in Monza in 1939. Dedicated to historic and contemporary art. Since the opening of the venue in Milan in 2001, Montrasio Arte has been  promoting young artists’ works, often exhibiting them in juxtaposition with old master’s works.

Montrasio Arte founded in Monza in 1939. Dedicated to historic and contemporary art, they shed light upon established artists which have been overlooked. At the time of its foundation the gallery presented mostly paintings from 19th and 20th century including Hayez, Balla, Marussig and Wildt.

Since 1963 it began focusing on contemporary art started a very rich exhibitions season oriented on Contemporary Art including exhibitions by  Lucio Fontana, Fausto Melotti, Tancredi Parmeggiani, Renato Guttuso. More recently they have presented exhibitions by Joseph Beuys and Dennis Oppenheim. Montrasio Arte often collaborates with important Museums and Institutions on both an international and national level.
