Ribot
Founded in Milan in 2015
The Milan based contemporary art gallery opened in April 2015 from an idea of Monica Bottani, with the aim to enrich the art scene of the city through exhibiting international and emerging artists.
The exhibition programme consists mainly of international artists’ solo shows who present their work in Italy for the first time, and comprehends all contemporary languages, between painting and sculpture, installation, photography and new media. Each show is usually complemented by a special project too, specially conceived by the artist for the occasion, often an edition in limited exemplars. The initiative is aimed to strengthen the connection between artist and gallerist in order to overcome the concept of “content” and “container”, of work of art and exhibition space.
The gallery of via Enrico Nöe 23 is a double floor location in which the artists are asked to redefine for each and every show, a place open to dialogue with a public made up of both collectors and amateurs.
