Museo Civico MAMBO Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna - Galleria d'Arte Moderna (Roberto Serra / Iguana)
MAMbo – Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna is the headquarters of the Settore Musei Civici Bologna, which is part of the Modern and Contemporary Art Department.
The museum offers a dynamic perspective: it traces the history of Italian art from the post-war period to the present, explores contemporary practices through exhibitions focused on research, and contributes to shaping new directions in art by engaging with the most innovative and vibrant experimental practices.
Located in the heart of the Manifattura delle Arti cultural district, it stands at the center of a network dedicated to research and innovation, including the Cineteca di Bologna, the laboratory spaces of the University DAMS departments, the Faculty of Communication Sciences, and numerous associations and art galleries.
MAMbo is part of a wider cultural network and collaborates with many institutions and academies in order to promote and encourage debate on contemporary culture.
