Fondazione ICA Milano

The Institute of Contemporary Arts in Milan. A programme of activities, research and study that experiments with different art practices.

Via Orobia 26, 20139 Milan, Italy

Fondazione ICA Milano is a non-profit institution dedicated to contemporary arts, sustainability, and community engagement. ICA operates as a private foundation with a public mission, fostering participation and shared cultural experiences.

Its programme spans from the 20th century to today, embracing interdisciplinary practices that dissolve traditional categories. Art publishing, ceramics, cinema, performance, music, seminars, education, and therapeutics are key elements of its ecosystem. ICA follows a participatory model, involving the public, patrons, and curators in shaping its projects.

Milan’s dynamic cultural landscape, where public and private initiatives intersect, provides the ideal context. ICA occupies a unique space between institutions, independent projects, and commercial systems, supporting research and experimentation. Its name aligns with the tradition of Institutes of Contemporary Art, which originated in the UK in 1946, reinforcing its international outlook.
