Founded in 1947 by Assis Chateaubriand and Pietro Maria Bardi, MASP is considered the most important museum of European Art in the southern hemisphere with its collection of over 8,000 works of art, from the 13th century to the present. You can enjoy works from Raphael, Mantegna and Botticelli, Delacroix, Renoir, Monet, Cézanne, Picasso, Modigliani, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Matisse, Chagall, and several other masters as Velazquez, Van Dyck, Frans Hals and Diego Rivera. Brazilian Art is presented among the earlier works with masterpieces by Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Anita Malfatti and Almeida Júnior.
