The Moment is Eternity – Works from the Olbricht Collection
The Moment is Eternity features selected works, around 300 by 60 different artists, from the Olbricht Collection, showing them in dialogue with other artworks from the collection and artefacts from the Wunderkammer.
The pictures on show range between different times and include famous names of the history of photography, such as August Sander, Cindy Sherman, Otto Steinert, Lee Friedlander, Nicholas Nixon, Franz Gertsch, Emil Nolde and many more. In doing so, the show explores various genres and topics, like beauty and sensuousness, becoming and disappearing, and the body and society, as manifested in various epochs and media. The selected works from the collection are, in this way, regrouped, dialoguing between each other and forming series linked by common motifs or original connections.
